The Role:
Reporting to the Merchandise Manager, the Merchandise Assistant will support the Merchandise Team in the growth and profitability, whilst having a strong focus on administrative processes. Furthermore, assist in the development and implementation of category plans for National Trade Promotions, Catalogues, Flyers and any other Trade Events.
Duties include:
Support all members of the category team
Assist with loading of images and catalogue layouts
General marketing support
Administer processes relating to the category
Manage product data related activities including vendor cost changes, clearance excess reporting, product data and pricing maintenance
Assist with retail and trade promotional builds and ensure deadlines are met
Assist with event and promotional planning
Data base management
Compile reporting
About You:
Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and focused mindset.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities effectively.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Exceptional communication skills — both verbal and written.
A self-starter who can work independently, adapt to changing needs, and approach tasks with a flexible, positive attitude.
A willingness to learn and develop new skills to support the team and business goals.
Previous exposure to retail, trade, or workshop environments is advantageous but not essential.
A great team player who enjoys collaborating and supporting others.
Experience working in an administrative or corporate environment is a plus but not required.
An understanding of marketing or merchandise principles would be beneficial, but we encourage anyone with an interest in these areas to apply.
