We are currently seeking a State Logistics Manager to manage our people, safety, security, inventory and the integrity of Melbourne Distribution Centre - GPC's brand-new state of the art automated facility, as well as our Truganina Motion DC, our Equipment Site and our South Australian-based Fulfilment Centre.
Reporting to the GM of Distribution Centre Operations, your areas of responsibility include:
Leading the management team to efficiently and economically manage the DC operations and meet customer needs
Providing supply chain insights and expertise to improve our customer service offering and lower our operating costs
Initiate continuous improvements to processes and procedures to improve efficiencies and quality of work
Provide effective leadership and development, maintaining a productive and efficient team with development pathways
Ensure all warehouse activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner within agreed KPI’s and Financial targets
Maintain the physical security and integrity of all DC inventory and assets
Oversee administrative functions of the facility, ensuring integrity of data
Establish strong, collaborative relationships with business partners to ensure operational and commercial results are maximised.
Providing a safe environment for all team members by taking proactive action to ensure that OH&S practices, legislative requirements, and company expectations & policies are in place
To be successful in your role you need to possess:
Logistics/ Warehousing tertiary qualifications
Previous experience in Senior Leadership positions within automated Logistics/Warehouse/Distribution environments
Exposure to FMCG, Retail, or high-volume and complex businesses
Strong inventory management skills with a solid commercial acumen
Demonstrated ability to positively support and develop people, being able to bring out the best in your Team
Effective communication skills with stakeholders across all levels.
