Motion Australia is the market leader for the custom manufacturing and distribution of automotive solutions, power transmission, hose and fittings and industrial products across Australia. We have over 1,300 dedicated team members in over 130 branches servicing customers across mining, construction, agriculture and manufacturing industries.
The Commercial Analyst is a new role created within Motion Commercial Finance. The role is to drive strategic & financial outcomes from transformational and business optimisation projects.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Provide financial support to execute transformation & optimisation projects
- Build & report on business cases based on data analysis and process review
- Support initiatives benefits tracking & pipeline reporting
- Building an advanced analytical decision support capability to support strategic & tactical decisions
- Collect, prepare & analyse data & consolidate in Excel for analysis
- Partner with key stakeholders to identify and understand business challenges and value drivers
- Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and present findings to stakeholders
- Business and finance process review
- Evaluate existing business processes to pinpoint inefficiencies
About you:
- Experience within commercial or finance industry, with data analytical experience
- Business Partnering experience
- Commercial / Analytical background – experience process mapping, handling and analysing complex, & high-volume data with great attention to detail
- Power BI experience is highly desirable
- End to end ownership mindset – be able to pick up work outside the JD and bring the project over the finish line
- Be able to distil information creatively and visually so that it is digestible to both finance and non-finance partners
- Self-motivated with the ability to perform under pressure in a changing business environment with the willingness and comfort to be in the details
- Strong communication skills
