Commercial Manager - Sales & Operations

Deliver results through strategic and transformative reporting for the respective business lines while implementing key strategic and transformational initiatives to accelerate business performance across Motion’s businesses.
Position Responsibilities:
- Actionable insights reporting: Building an advanced analytical decision support capability to support both strategic and tactical decisions,
- Strategy and transformation: Partnering in solving Motion’s business challenges through effective problem-solving, identifying opportunities and translating recommendations into execution plans,
- Bringing clarity across budgeting and forecasting: Building and owning the planning and forecasting framework across the state and business lines,
- Managing and navigating ambiguity: Gather information and context from stakeholders, simplify the insights, provide accurate business performance updates and develop recommendations to overcome market and business volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity,
- Deliver value: Continuously evaluate opportunities for enhancement of systems and process capabilities to maximise effectiveness and ensure seamless accurate reporting rhythm,
- Decision Support: Manage ongoing analytics requirements for Leadership teams, General Manager Finance and Head of Commercial Finance,
- Build strong network with the sales and operational teams, empower and improve financial capability among non-finance members to drive ownership,
- Coaching and supporting the wider commercial and Finance team.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Commercial / Analytical background – experience handling and analysing complex, high volume data with great attention to detail,
- The ability to think beyond numbers and combine data with strategy and financial insights,
- Be able to distil information in a creative and visual manner so that it is digestible to both finance and non-finance partners,
- Self-motivated, results oriented with the ability to perform under pressure in a changing business environment with the willingness to get their hands dirty,
- Experience in identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives to improve insights reporting and drive business performance,
- Proven modelling skills, excellent Excel user, experience with other systems such as PowerBI, TM1, etc, would be beneficial,
- Strong people management skills.
