Genuine Parts Company (GPC) and Motion are seeking a dedicated People, Culture & Wellbeing Specialist to support and enhance the PCW processes, systems, and policies across our dynamic teams in Australia.
About the Role
As a key member of the Motion PCW function, you will provide operational and strategic HR advice to assigned stakeholder groups, manage HRIS processes, and champion initiatives that drive productivity, culture, and wellbeing. This role is crucial to building a high-performance, engaged, and safe workplace aligned with Motion and GPC’s values and strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and deliver PCW programs across the employee lifecycle, including performance management, succession planning, talent acquisition, and employee engagement.
- Provide expert advice on remuneration, benefits, disciplinary investigations, and compliance with Australian employment law.
- Promote and support safety and wellbeing initiatives in collaboration with the Safety function.
- Facilitate continuous improvement by leveraging technology and process optimization, including the use of AI tools within guidelines.
- Collaborate as a proactive team member within the APAC PCW Team to uphold ‘One GPC’ culture.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualification in Human Resources or relevant discipline.
- Proven experience as a generalist HR professional in a multi-site, matrix-structured Australian business.
- Strong knowledge of Australian IR legislation with experience handling disciplinary matters.
- Commercial acumen with excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities calmly and efficiently under pressure.
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office and HRIS systems (Workday preferred).
- Ability and willingness to travel across branches as required.
- Experience in engineering or industrial sectors is advantageous but not essential.
