We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team at Henderson. We utilize a specialised CNC lathe combined with a wide range of high-performance tooling and sealing materials. This technology, along with our dedicated staff provide our customers with the prompt service and quality that t demand.

The successful applicant will be trained extensively in seal design engineering and to machine various types of materials including Polyurethane, rubber and plastics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating and programming CNC machines to produce high-quality seals and components from materials such as polyurethane, rubber, and plastics.
  • Utilizing your knowledge of seal design engineering to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to create custom solutions.
  • Understanding the unique properties of polyurethane, rubber, and plastics to ensure optimal machining techniques and product quality.
  • Conducting inspections of finished products to ensure they meet strict quality standards and tolerances.
  • Working closely with design engineers and production teams to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Performing routine maintenance on CNC machines and ensuring tools and equipment are in excellent working condition.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a machinist, with proficiency in operating CNC and manual machines.
  • Strong understanding of machining polyurethane, rubber, and plastics is desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Relevant trade qualifications in machining or engineering (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent).
