Lead the team of MIS & MCS Sales Engineers to meet and exceed the Company's sales and GP Budgets. This role is central to leading the service culture in these specialist areas and ensure that safety is prioritized in everything we do.

What kind of work may be involved?

  • Sales Leadership Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to a team of MIS & MCS Sales Engineers nationwide. Develop and implement sales engineering strategies that align with Motion business goals and drive sustainable growth. Set clear sales targets, objectives, and KPIs for the sales engineering team and monitor performance regularly.
  • Delivery of budgeted revenue, gross profit and market share targets. Create drive and monitor sales promotions that meet budgeted sales and profit results. Participate in or manage key account negotiations, tenders, proposals. 
  • Customer relationships. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key accounts. Work with sales and marketing, and direct with customers as required, to ensure excellent product knowledge and application. 
  • Leadership. Be a leader of positive and ethical behaviors & attitudes, work with senior managers proactively & strategically to support business goals.
  • Operations & safety. Ensure any vehicles PPE or company property used by the team are serviced, maintained and looked after to meet safety, legal and presentation standards. Lead on Safety and ensure that the operations conducted by the team are underpinned by the prioritisation of safe work practices. 

Ideal skills & experience:

  • 8+ years’ experience in sales leadership
  • Ability to apply technical skills in supporting the business requirements. 
  • Ability to use knowledge of the industry to understand customer needs & expectations. 
  • Experience in managing distribution and negotiating with distribution providers nationally. 
  • Have experience in developing operational and performance reporting. 
  • Be able to demonstrate strategic and commercial acuity through the achievement of improved Business performance 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Able to perform multiple tasks efficiently and to a deadline. 
  • Other - strong collaborative skills, ability to develop and drive business plans, high level of customer focus.
