Our Asia Pacific businesses include NAPA, REPCO, McLeod Accessories, AMX and Motion Industries in Australia & New Zealand Store Network.

With an expanding portfolio of over 600 sites with significant growth. We are seeking to appoint an experienced, and passionate, retail and industrial property leasing professional. Reporting to the General Manager - Group Property and based in our National Support Office in Rowville (VIC), your ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced role, together with excellent negotiating skills, will see you succeed.  This role will be predominately focused on Industrial property leasing, however may additionally offer exposure to retail and other commercial leasing opportunities.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Identify suitable sites for store development and/or relocations for all Motion brands nationally
  • Re-negotiate existing leases/tenures to maximise cost savings
  • Negotiate commercial terms and submit offers to lease
  • Prepare budgets, strategic plans and Property reports.
  • Negotiate lease renewals, relocations and make-good requirements
  • Provide strategic initiatives and opportunities for the portfolio
  • Manage risk and compliance for property transactions
  • Provide market analysis/true market rent on locations when negotiating options
  • Understanding of Planning and Zoning Laws
  • Consolidation of multiple brands and properties and site selection for new properties
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and support functions to ensure clarity and consistency across the Property Network

Other characteristics that will ensure your success:

  • Sound knowledge of the Industrial Property market nationally
  • 5+ years’ experience in tenancy leasing
  • Exceptional lease negotiation skills
  • Experience re-negotiating effective, but over-market, leases
  • Experience negotiating lease surrenders, make-good and dispute resolution
  • Already established landlord/agent networks and relationships
  • Highly developed leadership and people skills
  • Relevant experience in a similar role (industrial property experience required)
