As a Fitter and turner specializing in Pump Repair, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing fixed plant equipment both in the workshop and on-site.

This role emphasizes quality workmanship and timely delivery. You will manage equipment assessments, complete detailed strip sheets, liaise with suppliers, and always uphold safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on pumps and related equipment
  • Conduct equipment assessments and prepare comprehensive strip sheets
  • Assist workshop and site personnel with technical support
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for parts and job costing
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas, adhering to WHS standards

What We’re Looking For:

  • Formal technical qualifications in fitting and machining (minimum Certificate III)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with pump repair
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Sound customer service and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site as required
  • Proficient with MS Office and basic IT skills
  • Knowledge of power transmission and bearings an advantage
  • Safety-focused mindset and commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and working in varied workshop and site environments
