Accounts Payable Manager - Motion Industries Fixed Term

The Accounts Payable Manager ensures adherence to standard policies while leading a courteous, efficient service team for internal and external customers.
You will be fully accountable for the accuracy and integrity of processed information, maintaining accounting records in line with policies and regulations. Their role includes accurate processing of authorized invoices, updating and reconciling financial data, and providing support and guidance to team members following established procedures.

- Ability to develop, implement, and maintain effective Accounts Payable strategies and procedures.
- Strong leadership skills to train, guide, and engage team members.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, management, and external parties.
- Problem-solving skills to research discrepancies and ensure accuracy in financial processes.
- Experience working with financial systems and supporting audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Group Accounts Payable Manager and team leaders to maintain strategy adherence and provide training.
- Oversee daily processing of financial transactions, invoice verification, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist auditors by providing required support and documentation.
- Manage inquiries, respond to staff and external requests, and ensure timely follow-up on accounts payable communications.
- Participate in and facilitate training, meetings, and workshops; communicate clear instructions and monitor team training application.
- Test financial system updates, assist with month-end closing, and prepare and distribute progress reports.
- Interact with senior business and finance leaders and perform related duties to ensure efficient team operations.
About you:
- +5 years’ experience working in a large company with high volumes of invoices and a large accounts payable team
- Advanced MS Officer skills – including Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint.
- Proven experience in accounts payable or financial transaction processing.
- Strong understanding of accounting practices and compliance requirements.
- Leadership and team management experience, including training and communication skills.
- Attention to detail with ability to handle discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work collaboratively with auditors and senior management.
