The Role:
Reporting to the Channel Manager, the Merchandise Assistant will support the Category Team in the growth and profitability of a specific category, whilst having a strong focus on marketing activities, administrative processes, and data analytics.
Duties include:
Support all members of the category team
Assist with loading of images and catalogue layouts
General marketing support
Administer processes relating to the category
Manage product data related activities including vendor cost changes, clearance excess reporting, product data and pricing maintenance
Assist with retail and trade promotional builds and ensure deadlines are met
Assist with event and promotional planning
Data base management
Compile weekly reporting
About You:
- Familiar with marketing principles or exposure to retail/trade marketing preferred
- Strong excel skills
- Automotive knowledge required
- Strong organisational skills and able to juggle a number of constantly changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to work effectively without close supervision, with a flexible approach
- Studies in marketing/merchandise an advantage
