About the opportunity:
A rare opportunity has become available for an experienced Account Manager (or as we like to say, Customer Development Manager) who lives & breathes 4x4. This role will be based in Wetherill Park and will require regular travel between Canberra & Newcastle.
You will build effective, productive relationships with our target customers. Through these relationships, you will understand our customer’s needs, proactively solve their problems, and identify areas to grow their basket with NAPA. You are ultimately responsible for the sales and gross margin performance of your territory.
Duties include:
- Solve customer problems through consultation, relationship building, and understanding customer needs
- Responsibility for sales and gross margin performance of your territory
- Attend and participate in sales meetings, trade shows and training sessions
- Achieve sales budgets through a proactive and innovative approach
- Developing new business (business development and account management)
- Travel throughout designated territory for work
- Foster and drive a culture of safety by putting safety first, ensuring that we all make it safe & make it home
- Safe driving behaviours
Note, this role will require lifting, bending, climbing & safe driving.
All about you:
You are highly engaging with a passion for providing solutions and service and will have a demonstrated and successful track record in the development of business or account management across parts and equipment. Comfortable acquiring new accounts, your strong communication and negotiation skills will hold you in good stead along with your team focussed attitude and passion to be the best!
- An engaging, strong communicator, with sound negotiating skills
- Solutions and service focussed
- Track record in account management or business development
- Thrive in a KPI driven environment
- Sales and/or customer management experience (4x4 industry preferred)
- Ability to liaise and build relationships with customers and company stakeholders
- Experience using CRM systems
- A valid Australian driver's licence is required
