We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team in NSW. This is a pivotal role where you will coach, mentor and lead a high-performing external sales team, and ensure the success of our business in NSW South, an area that includes Metropolitan Sydney and surrounds, Illawarra & South Coast, Central West and Riverina regions of NSW.
You will work with Sales Representatives & BDMs to grow the business; this is a hands-on role and you will be spending the majority of your time working directly on developing new customer relationships as well as ensuring the retention and growth of our existing customer base along with the positive development of your team’s skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning and effective utilisation of external sales resource across the NSW South region, ensuring efficiency and alignment with company goals.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of external salespeople to achieve sales and business development excellence with focus on our Customer Value Proposition.
- Drive business growth by identifying opportunities, implementing strategies, and ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, improve processes, and optimize performance.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability within the designated area.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably as a Sales Manager or similar position, within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Demonstrated experience working in high volume sales within industrial products, Bearings, Power Transmissions products and services – would be advantageous.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyse data, develop strategies, and make informed decisions.
- Demonstrated success in managing teams, driving performance, and achieving business objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Proficiency in using business software and tools to monitor performance and drive results.
