About the role

Contribute to business growth and profitability by delivering high-quality warranty, product-quality and remanufacturing support while effectively managing risk.

Working within the technical team, you will investigate warranty claims, assess product quality issues, complete remanufacturing activities, and support product testing and development. You will work closely with the Senior Technical Officer to ensure work is completed accurately, safely and within agreed service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Support departmental quality, safety and customer-service objectives.
• Investigate and assess warranty claims, including identifying root causes and preparing clear reports.
• Inspect products, identify faults or non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Arrange, inspect and test product samples as required.
• Assess new products against required specifications and quality standards.
• Review warranty data to identify trends, recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate the return of parts to suppliers for further investigation where required.
• Complete remanufacturing activities in accordance with approved procedures.
• Confirm parts availability before remanufacturing builds commence.
• Perform final quality checks on completed builds.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, equipment-maintenance records and test results.
• Ensure work areas and equipment are safe, clean, organised and fit for purpose.
• Provide timely technical feedback to internal stakeholders, suppliers and customers.

About you

You will have a strong technical background and a practical, quality-focused approach. You may be a qualified or experienced:

• Automotive Electrician
• Automotive Mechanic or Automotive Technician
• Manufacturing Process Worker with relevant experience in assembly, remanufacturing, quality inspection or production processes.

You will also bring:

• Relevant trade qualifications or demonstrated equivalent technical experience.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical diagnostic capability.
• Experience working with automotive parts, components or systems.
• Sound problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• The ability to follow technical procedures, specifications and safe-work practices.
• Experience using hand tools, testing equipment and workshop or production equipment.
• Accurate record-keeping and report-writing skills.
• A proactive, reliable and positive approach to work.
• The ability to work collaboratively with people across all levels of the business.
• A commitment to safety, quality and delivering genuine service moments.
