About the role…
We are currently offering a full-time permanent Stock Control Supervisor position at our Brendale Distribution Centre.

The Stock Control Supervisor plays a key role in the warehouse operations team at APG, ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with operational processes. This role oversees the credits function, supervises a small stock control team, and serves as the primary contact for inventory-related matters.

Main duties include:

  • Be responsible for ensuring physical stock on hand in the warehouse reflect the levels in the system.

  • Investigate and resolve reported stock discrepancies in a timely manner to ensure minimal impact on the customer.

  • Be responsible for consolidation of stock in the warehouse to ensure most efficient utilisation of the warehouse storage space.

  • Encourage and drive a culture of engagement and continuous improvement within the stock control team.

  • Develop, recommend, and monitor warehouse and storage risk management activities, to implement corrective and preventive actions where necessary.

  • Monitor the stock put away process for accuracy and highlighting areas of concern.

  • Act on requests for scrapping of goods as per process in a timely manner.

  • Respond to queries from the Product Development team and promptly act on their requests to adjust/ reclassify inventory.

  • Undertake stock damage prevention measures by ensuring correct handling, storage of parts and highlight areas of concerns with other supervisors within the warehouse team.

  • Daily reporting of undertaken stock control activities

  • Conducting annual wall to wall cycle count programme as per the agreed schedule.


About you, skills and experience…
We are looking for someone with the right attitude and the ability to be adaptable, communicate efficiently and work well within a team environment.

  • Demonstrated stock control experience within a warehouse setting.

  • Experienced in comprehending inventory reports with a keen eye for detail.

  • Prior experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.

  • Intermediate IT skills and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience supervising a small team.

  • Ability to build and foster relationships with other stakeholders within the operations team.

  • Good problem-solving skills, with an ability to muti task and manage competing priorities.

  • Well-developed communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work within a rapidly changing diverse environment.
