About Motion

Motion is an industrial products and engineering services business operating across New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia and Singapore. We support our customers with the products, knowledge and service they need to keep their operations moving.

This is a fixed-term position for six months, covering maternity leave at our Kaitaia branch.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Receive, check, and accurately receipt incoming goods and stock shipments.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
• Provide product advice and support to a diverse customer base.
• Deliver excellent front-counter service.
• Respond to customer enquiries and process orders by phone, email, and in person.
• Build trusted customer relationships and support the branch as the supplier of choice.
• Assist with showroom promotions and counter-sales activities.
• Support general warehouse and branch duties as required.

You will ideally bring:

• Previous experience in industrial, trade, automotive, mechanical, construction, warehousing or customer-service environments
• Strong communication skills, a professional phone manner and a genuine customer-first approach
• Curiosity, practical problem-solving ability and an interest in mechanical or industrial products
• Confidence working with trade, construction and industrial customers
• A positive, reliable team-player attitude
• A current New Zealand driver licence would be advantageous for local deliveries
