We are looking for an experienced Workshop Fitter Machinist to join our team in Mackay QLD.
This role is a for a mechanically minded person with good attention to detail. You will be self-motivated and adaptable as the job requires.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity for a person that is looking for career stability and a good work/life balance.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Buildand reconditioning driveshafts for automotive, commercial, off highway and industrial applications.
- Machineof driveline components.
- Assemble,welding, and balancing of driveshafts.
- Generalworkshop duties as required.
As a Workshop Fitter you will be reporting to the Branch Manager and working as part of a team located in Mackay QLD.

To be successful in this role you need:
- Well-developed fitting and machiningskillsobtained in a workshop environment.
- Have a sound mechanical aptitudeand knowledge.
- Experience operating manual lathesand welding equipment is essential.
- Demonstratea high degree of flexibility with job tasks.
- The abilityto participate in ongoing training and be open to new ideas.
- Proven safety and quality focus& Perform assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with Company's Health & Safety policies & procedures.
- A willingnessto work as part of a team, and do whatever is required, to help achieve business targets.
- Certificate 2 in Engineering is desirable - basic machining skills
