GPC Asia Pacific is seeking an experienced Systems Developer to join our Business Systems Solutions Group.

Reporting to the Application Team Lead, you will design, develop, enhance and support business-critical solutions within our core mainframe-based ERP environment. This role is ideal for a developer with deep CICS COBOL expertise who enjoys solving complex integration and application challenges.

What you’ll be doing

• Design, develop, test, debug and deploy mainframe application solutions.
• Support and enhance GPC Asia Pacific’s core mainframe-based ERP system.
• Map and document interfaces between legacy and new systems.
• Partner with Business Analysts to prepare solution and design documentation.
• Assess solution options for technical and business suitability.
• Prepare and oversee testing schedules, environments and test strategies.
• Coordinate implementation of new functionality and system changes.
• Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Systems Integration, PMO, developers and third-party providers.
• Participate in an on-call support rotation.

What you’ll bring

• 7+ years’ experience in mainframe application design and development.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • CICS
  • COBOL
  • MVS
  • JCL
  • TSO
  • Datacom-DB
  • DB2
  • VSAM
• Experience developing system integrations using Mainframe CICS Web Services.
• Strong analysis, solution design, testing and debugging skills.
• Experience with Datacom-DB will be highly regarded.
• Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline.
